Cook “made his mark as Hogarth engraver, too” (Thieme-Becker); present frontispiece, however, he has treated supposedly for the first time only in the small edition of the years 1806/09 following his folio edition. Represented the frontispiece to the edition of 1724 of the famous devotional book as an example of the early Hogarth. – Trimmed within the on three sides wide white platemark with partial drop of the address and here feebly brownspotted. On the right without subject lining.
